Fruitful work in Reykjanes

In recent years substantial work has been put into policy making and building infrastructures within the area. This has been a collaborative effort by the locals, the municipalities, companies in Reykjanes and other supportive organizations. All projects organized by the municipalities, the regional marketing office Visit Reykjanes and the Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark are based on the foundation and vision of sustainable development in the area. The Earth Awards granted to Reykjanes by Green Destinations shows the importance of cooperation and how instrumental it is that tourism goals are developed and reached in harmony with society.
