The Directorate of Health has published guidance regarding disease prevention and control in connection to Covid-19 and visiting the eruption site.

  1. Those who are in quarantine are not to visit the eruption site.
  2. Do not take on the tour if you have a suspicion on infection of the Covid-19 (Information on symptoms can be found on,
  3. Bring with you hand sanitizers and masks (3-4).
  4. Limit close contact with other people/groups and respect the social distancing guidelines (2 meters).
  5. Use a mask in locations where it is not possible to maintain social distancing guidelines, for example by the rope on the hiking trail.
  6. Disinfect your hands before and after the rope on the hiking trail and/or if you have come into contact with surfaces that many persons touch.
