The GÓSS Trio is made up of brothers Sigurður and Guðmundur Óskar Guðmundsson and their friend Sigríður Thorlacius. The band was formed in 2017 specifically so that the members could pack up a car and get out of the city, to roam the countryside and play music and meet people. In recent years, they have toured the country playing and singing all over the country, clockwise and counterclockwise. They have one album under their belt, the album Góssentíð, which was released in 2019 and received great praise. The program is songs from here and there – original songs and cover songs, Icelandic folk songs and foreign popular songs. Everything mixed and matched in a kind of three-part country outfit.
The concert series "trunó" has been a hit at Hljómahöll in recent years. The idea is to pull out all the stops and offer a grand concert, but hold it in Berg in Hljómahöll, which only holds about 100 guests. Artists who are used to playing to a much larger audience take the stage there in close proximity to fewer guests than usual.
