Here are the rules that apply to drone flights in the eruption area.
 
  • Drones are not allowed to fly higher than 120 metres, 394 feet, above the ground
  • Drones should always give away to manned aircraft
  • Drones shall not be flown beyond the operator's visual line of sight
  • The operator of the drone is responsible for any damage the drone might cause
  • For commercial drones, additional requirements are in place, for example regarding registration
