Beloved Faroese musician Guðrið Hansdóttir returns to Iceland in October 2026 with brand-new and refreshing music in tow!
Guðrið is celebrating the release of her seventh studio album, *Sýrublað*, with an extensive tour around Iceland, performing nine concerts between October 20 and 29.
*Sýrublað* was released earlier this year to a fantastic reception. Guðrið describes the music in her own words: “The music is like biting into a sorrel leaf – fresh, crisp, green and slightly sour.”
Produced by Høgni Lisberg, the album features the catchy, dreamy indie-pop sound that Guðrið has become known for.
Guðrið has been a prominent figure in the Faroese and Nordic music scenes since the early 2000s, both as a solo artist and as part of the electro-pop duo BYRTA. Her previous album, *Gult myrkur*, was named Album of the Year at the Faroese Music Awards (FMA).
Guðrið will not be travelling around Iceland alone, as she will be joined by two fantastic accompanying musicians.
