Poulsen Bros is a trio consisting of brothers Bárður and Pauli with drummer extraordinaire Rógvi á Rógvu. The band plays their own brand of post-bop and contemporary jazz, fluctuating between the heaviest of swing and the dreamiest of séances. The trio has been active since 2017, performing as often as the schedules of these busy travelers allow. With the addition of illustrious Icelandic saxophonist Oskar Guðjónsson, the Poulsen Bros are destined for new sonic dimensions. The inaugural tour in August 2024 will bring the group to the Faroe Islands and Iceland, where they will record a new album.
