Daníel Hjálmtýsson, a local singer/songwriter, will perform the songs of Leonard Cohen at Hvalsneskirkja church in Suðurnesjabær on the evening of Ascension Day, May 29.
His last concert at the church in 2022 was sold out; many were left without tickets. For the past decade, Daníel has filled churches and pubs nationwide, performing Cohen’s work in various styles and forms.
Daníel has just returned to Iceland after a concert tour around the British Isles with British artist Duke Garwood and is currently preparing for the release of his second full-length album, expected later this year.
