A map has been published, showing the possible eruption site in Reykjanes

The Icelandic MET office has published a map that shows the area where the estimated eruption could take place on the Reykjanes peninsula.

The map explains where the estimated fissure is located between Mt. Keilir and Mt. Fagradalsfjall. Please study the map carefully and stay away from the possible eruption site. 

The map is published by the Icelandic MET office and the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management. The estimation is based on documents and material from the Icelandic Institute of Natural History, The MET office, The Icelandic GIS office and the Institute of Earth Sciences.
