New eruption in Reykjanes peninsula

An eruption has started again in Mt Fagradalsfjall close to the eruption from last year. Travellers and visitors are asked to stay away from the area while the situation is being assessed by scientists and Authorities. 

Scientists are gathering information regarding the area, in the meantime, visitors are asked to be careful and not to visit the site until further news has been published. 

We will update this news thread as soon as more information is published by the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management or the Sudurnes Police Commissioner.
